About me

I'm a British author who loves page-turners. It doesn't have to be a thriller. It can be anything, I just want to feel that desperate urge to turn the page. And if it grabs me on the first page...or the first paragraph...or the first sentence...Well! All the better.I worked in the television industry for many years. However, though I’ve worked with words all my life, I’ve only recently decided to do something with it. My aim is to try to produce - if I'm very lucky - my own version of what I consider a page-turner - whatever the subject matter.I love interesting tidbits...Did you know babies are born bacteria-free?Or that Russia is so wide, on the east coast they'll be going to bed while on the west coast they'll be waking up?Or that the Audrey Hepburn film My Fair Lady is a cockney pronunciation of Mayfair Lady?I find such facts fascinating!I share little facts I've discovered in every Paul Indigo Readers' Club newsletter where you'll learn about my latest project (or struggles with it!) as well any freebies or exclusive extracts... You're welcome to join us!I live on the English coast and love sea and nature reserve walks whenever I get the opportunity (at least once a week, sometimes more). I also love to wake early, long before the rest of the world has caught up with me.

"A beautiful and moving story" CL... "Just wow" TN.

When Dr Applegate reads the letter he is so shocked he needs to sit down...Then his sister calls from Canada inviting herself over. And then he dreams of an old girlfriend from twenty-two years ago. It seems things are conspiring against him, upending his lonely, successful life.Dr Applegate has no idea he's about to meet the love of his life again after all that time......or that he’s about to be shaken up by the two people most important to him in the whole world. Then, of course, there's the contents of that wretched letter to deal with.If for some reason you don't receive my ebook within five minutes (computers, eh?), email me here and I'll personally email you with it attached.

This is what Cooper Hall from Love Deleted looks like...

This is a stunningly beautiful portrait made by Brazilian artist, Helio Teles. It perfectly encapsulates who Cooper Hall, the Lead character from my novel Love Deleted, looks like. She's beautiful. She's hurt. She's numb. She's struggling. She's determined. She's single-minded. She's damaged.Once I'd written the first draft of Love Deleted, I struggled to fix who exactly Cooper Hall was. Then by some strange and wonderful twist of fate I saw this artwork and recognised her immediately! I KNEW THIS WAS COOPER HALL!Helio has graciously allowed me to reproduce this picture here for readers. I used her portrait to help me develop her character and give her a depth I believe she would otherwise have been lacking. I am absolutely convinced my novel would have been all the poorer without her.Thank you Helio! You can find more Helio's work here:

The video below is First Lady Read's review of Love Deleted - she sums up what she thinks about the novel before giving an in-depth SPOILER review. Watch the start for a taster and the rest AFTER you've finished the novel!
